I love discovering unexpected items at the beach, like these sand shoes, which we used to call “takkies” in South Africa. I’m constantly exploring the interplay of light and shadow in my compositions. I strive to use the largest brush I have, as it helps me develop a looser, more expressive brushwork. This approach is an important part of my artistic journey.
